That’s kind of why I ask the question. Even in games where Florida gets forcefed, you know what they are going to do the rest of this game.

It’s just that you expect him to be a goal scorer. 5 goals isn’t enough. He is an elite passer, but he needs to snipe.

I’ve always felt like he’s an awkward case. Needs to play a lot to play well, and you are way more apt to forgive one stinker in a stretch of games. Never seemed to perform on rest. But also really wore down when over-used.

Some people just aren’t born with that edge. It’s impossible to teach the mentality. He’s so ridiculously good at so many things. All the tools but without the toolbox.

If Tippett had any edge to his game he’d be a superstar. It makes sense why Florida gave up on him early (they’re wingers are the opposite). He has all the speed and all the skill but he wants things to be easy.

This is why I left Twitter/X. I miss the Flyers engagement, but particularly during the election and PA being a swing state…it was impossible.
