You should also understand that in Canada, you can see any family doctor or walk in clinic, UCC or hospital you want, need, are near. If you need a specialist, you need a referral which can take time, being flexible about schedule is key to quick appts, I have privilege, so I ask for not busy times.

Also, have you stuck with the cranberry sauce milkshakes? I am thinking of presenting that as dessert for our orphan Xmas dinner.

It is hard to watch the lies...and have to respond on SM. WE want you to have the same; it is amazing how many of you fight against it. Don't get me wrong, some meds are still very expensive if you are not elderly or disabled, which is why we have additional insurance plans. Which I think end at 55.

And this is why it is so frustrating for the world to watch the US in this situation, there is a perfectly good system to put in place, just for RX prices. It would save millions of lives, but your government does not care about you. Just negotiate prices for Rx. Then deal with the rest of it. FFS

ACA is the first step. You should have medicare. The point to UHC in Canada, is that each province runs their own UHC, the federal government negotiates Rx prices as a whole. Which is why it is cheaper here for Rx. Could you imagine the prices if the US government negotiated as a single client?

What we have in Canada is UHC and then we can buy insurance which covers what UHC does not, Rx, optical, dental, etc. Then people who cannot afford that can get covered in a variety of other ways funded by gov't. So why doesn't everyone in the USA just get ACA and then can buy uplift.

Then don't shit on me about being a "progressive".

LOLOLOLOLOLOL okay...I don't do social media. It is bad.

Come on - upset about this, but....the insult to the female journalist. Do better.

I agree, Israel shouldn't be included, particularly for the Palestinian cause, but also...not part of Europe.

This means Maxwell cannot have a retrial, which means she will be pardoned.

The Murdochs have play here, but I think less so with the average Canadian. Don't get me wrong, I have met Canadians who get their "news" purely from Murdoch; just less. Almost all Canadian media (papers) is owned by the US.

You can't just combine oil from diff't places together. It has to be the same types of oil. It would have to be refined at the same place. I do not understand this at all. No one puts Iranian oil and Venezuelan oil on the same ship, nor would they trade it. Why would an oil country sell to another?

Lastly, I would say that in Canada, in general, there are few pundits. Media reports the facts; and politics and opinion people spin that, but we don't have a lot of TV news panels and pundits/surrogates who blatantly lie the same. There is a political bent, but not close to what we see in the US.

Further to that, I live near one of the most touristy places in Canada and when I go there, I hear Americans say how much they love watching our news, because it is news and not politicized. I've met many Americans who feel aware, but not in fear from our news. This is the way.
December 11, 2025 at 6:36 AM
I don't think there is a Fox Canada, is there? We just get your bullshit. But, no, Canadian news is not the same. Our local evening news is more informative and you would have to research "sides". Out national new is similar. That is what is on TV. Newspapers are all owned by the US, less reliable.

I can be progressive and question you. Is that not progressive? I can't read your mind. Most of your posts seem to be a stream of thought.
