I have not been keeping up with the story, so I am unsure how Kusumi has been brought up... but I am sure he walks life as an adult who has failed his duties and knows it. He is a man saved by "forgiveness".

Midorima takes his responsibilities with utmost seriousness, so I don't believe he was an "irresponsible" vice captain, but rather a misinformed one... Rather than abadoning his duties, he faithfully followed their captain's decisions above his own.

Kusumi, consumed by jealousy... I am not saying he is a good "father", but slowly he is learning to be a better "adult". For that reason I am glad for his existence. Madoka, too, who probably believed he could never change even himself, must be glad too.

Maybe it is stated somewhere, but when did Shin-chan start basketball? He was already on his way to being miraculous in first year... Did you start in second grade, like Izuki-san? Did you start right before middle school? How long has basketball been part of your schedule?

I think while both Takao siblings like spicy food, only Takao is good at handling it, so when Takao chooses the family's meal on his birthday, his sister cries as she eats it. Takao says, "you don't have to eat it!" and his sister replies, "it tastes good."

The Takao siblings, who are close in age and personality, are constantly arguing. Midorima and his sister are very far apart in age, so they have always gotten along. So when Takao and Midorima say "little sister," they are talking about very different things.
