After 5.5 years of owning my Toyota Corolla, it was finally sold, as I depart for Aotearoa New Zealand. These are some of the best pics I took from two road trips across the American West. Final weekend in the US before the move.

It shows GoAm for the M7.6, but the actual message refers to it as the GoM. It is the only recognition of the GoA on NOAA sites as far as I’ve seen.

I’ve known it’s been coming for a while. The beloved elderly bassethound I befriended in my apartment complex will be put down while I’m away. She’s 15 and still going on walks and taking in all the smells. I am devastated.

An extra long Scientific American book from 1972 that details the new field of plate tectonics. In 1972, my dad started his freshman year of high school at the “Mexican Only” school. The high school would be desegregated several weeks later.

⚒️ Does anyone know if Scientific American still produces these? It is from 1980 and is just so pleasing to my colorblind eyes.
