I don't have enough opinions about "GenAi" to decide whether it's entirely all bad or not, Alex makes interesting points about it set in an "ideal" world. In an ideal world, anything can do anything, we could rethink how we use anything. Innovation, yeah?

A lack of innovation is an adept way to say it, and I can agree- I think that's a failure of capitalism, not necessarily the tool. I think we're on the same page

..... That's the whole point of the video, that Big companies are using YOUR HATE (caps for emphasis again) to do whatever they want. So, yeah, agreeing that people are more angry at him than at what the video is actually saying isn't a stretch

I do hope his follow up video explains himself better but you know what, people can miss the mark. Who knows, maybe rich people will stop being greedy for a second and think about the environmental impact like we did cuz we didn't buy into it, they're famous for listening to consumers

Tbf, like I said, he spends most of the time being defensive before he gets comments about "what about this" in regards to it. He's trying to show that he's aware, and trying to get to his point; but it's so long and winding that no one that already dismisses AI is going to listen.

I will state that Avila spends a lot of time pre-emptively fighting arguments in the comments, people like you, and so I think this "spouting tech bro talk" is simply because Avila read some subreddits; I think a lot of what you guys think is him repeating stuff is him being sarcastic/acting.
