Oh wow we didn’t get in school suspension (I went to an alternative hs so they just suspend us) but usually that’s how it went in detention too if you finished your work 😭 u sit in silence unless the teacher was cool he’d let us go back to class

When I had detention we all just sat quietly in a classroom and did work no talking allowed When it was lunch time we ate in said classroom without talking as well 💀
So basically just silence during the entire day
Tho some schools only do school lunch detentions mine did it for an entire school day
