I have attempted Kung Pao chickpeas! First observation: there isn't nearly as much food as when I do the same but with a 'standard' package of chicken thighs. Tastes pretty reasonably good though, chickpeas are on the bean-like end of things.

My first attempt at beef bourguignon! It was pretty decent, but I will need to tweak it a little for next time. And I need to remember to get some crusty bread. More salt, maybe. Meowy Kitsmas!

I attempted a chicken cordon bleu casserole tonight! It was... Not very effective. Still edible, but the concept needs work. And probably more chicken.

Happy Thanksgiving, folks! I went with the Serious Eats method (sous vide turkey breast, oven-crisped turkey skin) as mewsual, along with my ginger-honey glazed carrots and a mix of brown rice and wild rice. Plus graaaavy.

I ordered beef curry udon for lunch today (this is the first time in months) because I just had to try the tempura gyozas. Verdict: decadent! Very much a "sometimes" food. For morale!

Speak up! Be disappointed in people making bad choices. Let them know when they are wronging yourself or others. Too often silence is taken for consent. We are cats, we have a right to complain loudly.

I am not advocating breaking the law... But if someone asks you to do something terrible, ask for it in writing. Ask if they're sure they want to break laws, regulations, moral standards, or besmirch the company's reputation. If you gotta do it, do it slowly. Maybe they'll come to their senses.
