“Players derive joy from communicating with the devs through play” is an incredible bit of wisdom that’s just available here on this website for free.
but if you take either of those approaches - that players derive joy from communicating with the devs through play, whether it's beating their challenges or being led carefully through them - then it really highlights why a lot of gen AI in the game experience is just undesirable
