I say previously, because they’ve just stopped it. You can no longer get “premium cars” because the tax payer subsidies part of it. The cheaper cars will be subsided at exactly the same amount. It’s nothing but being petty and cruel.

However, if you want a more expensive car, previously you could pay the extra to upgrade. This did not cost the taxpayer any more, it was just paying more for optional extras. This included paying a lot more to get a “premium” car.

There is a disability benefit available to people who meet the criteria here that they can get, working or not. There is a mobility allowance, so if your mobility means you need a lot of help getting about, you can lease a basic adapted car for the amount of this benefit.

Motibility is the scheme in the UK where if you have a disability that requires you to have a car (for instance if you are a wheelchair user and need hand controls rather than pedals) you can lease one at a reduced rate.

I think that is an entirely valid and correct reaction :D
