Continuing a wander in and around Sherwood forest, this time Steetly Church near Worksop Restored in the 18th century the church has been here since 1120 AD, but the boundary is circular, which might indicat pre Norman conquest origins. Well worth a visit.

it's Sherwood forest day, which means I have an excuse to spend this week talking about my fav places in and around the forest. But first a tree. The Churn, or maybe Church Oak. This is in the boundary of what was King John's hunting lands. Think of the centuries of things it's seen.

It's Sherwood forest day on the 20th of February, obviously that means the hound and I need to go for a wander in the woods. Would you like to guess which day is forecasted rain this week? Go on I'm sure you can guess 😂

Nottinghamshire trig bagger logbook has just arrived. Something to do over winter. Some look like very interesting walks, some less so 😂
Does this mean I'm getting more boring as I get older, or is this a perfectly reasonable way to spend your days off?

My partner in wandering crime, Nikita. At the 10 mile mark she will start to object, but will carry on whilst grumbling. Both of us are out of shape right now so we shouldn't be hitting her limit for a few months.
