Today our Year 11s took part in an assembly on revision skills and how to achieve success in their GCSEs beyond the bell. We focused on practical strategies that make a real difference — retrieval practice, using revision timetables effectively, and building strong revision habits at home.

Revision Skills starts back today and runs each Monday and Wednesday 3-4 pm in the library. All GCSE students are welcome to attend to start their weekly revision in order to prepare for assessments, mocks and their final GCSE exams.

Breakfast club runs each morning 8.15 until 8.40. We are here to support with homework and to provide a relaxed space to start the day. Toast is available from 8.15 on a first come first served basis. Art club runs on a Monday and Games club on a Friday. All are welcome.

A group of 20 students from Turton Sixth Form, along with 3 Year 11 students, are currently volunteering at Andy Star Academy in Nakuru, Kenya.
The students have been actively contributing by making much-needed school chairs and supporting teaching in English and Maths.

Year 9 have been studying the Cold War and brought history to life by building their own Berlin Walls out of biscuits!
They explored why the wall went up and why it came down – with plenty of biscuits, sweets, and creativity along the way.
