More evidence for my hypothesis that at the root of Trump's pretty sudden and new-ish annexation idea about Canada is the desire to emulate Putin's attempt to take over Ukraine.
“Don’t have the cards” is what he said to Zelenskyy in demanding Ukraine’s surrender to Russian conquest, in case there was doubt about which part of his brain this rant is coming from.
Trump: "We don't need anything from Canada, and yet it costs up $200b in subsidy to keep Canada afloat. So when I say they should be a state, I mean that. I really mean that ... some people don't have the cards."
