i love how when i visit with my rats to say good night to them before bed they all collectively try to hold onto my hand to stop me from leaving and poke out their little heads so i can't shut the door. It's very sweet and they're very good.

We think he might be beige. His eyes are somewhere between black and reddish brown so they might actually just be Very dark ruby after all--it's hard to tell.

The one towards the front in the first photo has an eye condition. And also an eye booger lol but i know it looks strange, she has anterior segment dysgenesis in that eye; she was born with it.

Some are falling asleep, or are asleep. The two silvermanes are full sisters, and the two non-silvermanes are full sisters. All four share the same dad.

I've been so worried this little snooze goob here just doesn't like me because she's chomped me hard enough to draw blood 5 separate times, but i don't think she'd feel safe enough to nap on me like this if that were the case, right? She's the only rat who's ever bitten me on purpose.

Nah, i have a mink rat who came from a breeder, she's completely different from him.

A young, mink colored rat. She is a midtone, warm gray.

My mom rescued him from a feeder bin (the store is out of business now and even if it weren't it's like a 4 hour drive from here lmao) so there's no one to ask lol

His brother-cousins that were rescued with him were black, black again, and russian blue, all with white markings, if that helps.

Hey, can somebody who's good at identifying rat colors tell me what color they think this man is?

Is he black based, or agouti...? Something else? Is there a name for it? I've been baffled since we got him. He seems to fit multiple things, and also nothing. Eyes black, not ruby.

A blond? Beige? Very lage male rat on top of a few white sheets of printer paper that are there to help with color correction. The photo is a smidge blurry because he's moving.
