Thirty-Minute Theatre was an anthology drama series of short plays shown on BBC 2 between 7 October 1965 and 9 August 1973. 291 plays were broadcast, sadly only 50 survive.

The series was used in part at least as a training ground for new writers, on account of its short running length, and which therefore attracted many writers who later became well known like John Mortimer, Jean Benedetti, Charlotte and Denis Plimmer, David Rudkin, Dennis Potter and Jack Rosenthal.

When BBC 2 became the first UK television channel to broadcast in colour in 1967, the series became the first UK drama series to be broadcast in colour. Bobobobs was a 26 episode animated series from Belgium. It was first shown in the UK on Channel 4 from 7 October 1990.

Set in the distant past, the plot revolves around a group of nomadic miniature humanoids known as the Bobobobs, who live in a part of the universe far away from the Earth. One crew of these Bobobobs, led by Bob Wouter, the captain, sets sail in the Bobular Quest, their spaceship, described as a "galleon with a protective dome". The English language voice cast was Thor Bishopric, Walter Massey, AJ Henderson, Arthur Grosser, Terrence Scammell, Arthur Holden, Dean Hagopian, Rick Jones and Jane Woods.

The English series was narrated by Ian Finlay.
