Dodging < Parrying < Countering

I played it for the first time ever a couple of years back and had a really good time! 13-2 was doing some super interesting stuff too but I got distracted and haven’t finished it yet. Still intend to round out the trilogy some day.

.. anything bad that happens is actually your fault. That said, ME2 is a super high water mark and falling a little short of that seems an impressive accomplishment all the same.

I had a lovely time with it, my main critique would be that if you are given 2 options and both are bad I’m not going to feel bad about the outcome as I had no agency in it. I’m not so much talking about the big mid game choice as the one in the finale. ME2 suicide mission still beats this because..

I’m plenty technical and none of my TVs get to connect to the internet. I’ve got Apple TV boxes on the relevant ones and use that or a connected Xbox or something. No tv manufacturer has ever proven they deserve to be trusted with an internet connection.

Allowing for recency bias - the Firaxis’ Midnight Suns. Some truly brilliant tactical game design from a team firing on all cylinders that got mostly ignored for superficial reasons (not even the Marvel setting but *gasp* the use of cards).
