Yesterday I got around to watch #SatoshiKon 's #PerfectBlue
Like always; late as all hell, but absolutely worth the time.
9/10 because I felt the end was a little abrupt. Everything else screams kino and beauty, even the uglier and more disturbing scenes.

Watched The Seven Samurai yesterday and I kneel, it is indeed a timeless masterpiece.
So glad to understand now, just how much Kurosawa has influenced a plethora of media that I hold oh so dear.
So sad I came so late. Will definitely watch more films made by the man.

I would also complain about the unnecessary fanservice, but that's kind of a moot point in regards to anime in general.
The incestuous undertones did bother me a lot though.

#TheSoulTaker is a very stylish #anime that I watched about 12 years ago.
I just rewatched it and now see why it didn't become a cult-classic after all this time.
The presentation may be stunning and the exposition minimum, but the characters are onedimensional, and the end is unsatisfying.

So I recently watched Casablanca (1943) and I can't help but praise its immaculate photography and acting. Also, even if we consider the times the film is set in, it felt somewhat contemporary with its characters and interactions. You'd think it's sexist like the Bond films, but it's much better.
