Buy or make a proofing box with variable temperature control. It helps to more accurately plan (and customize) your starter activation and bulk ferment times. Also I feed my starter at 1:5:5 around 10pm. It takes 10-12 hours to be ready, so I'm mixing my dough around 9 or 10 the next morning.
