Yesterday would have been my lovely dad's 73rd birthday. He hated fuss, always insisted he didn't want presents. So happy heavenly birthday, Gaga, hope you're enjoying a pint and a moan in the big pub in the sky.

The M.R. James is my late Dad's old copy. He read me my first M.R. James story (A School Story) from this when I was about 12.
We found some nice stuff in the attic when clearing, but mostly it contained every single cardboard box
from everything my parents bought since c. 2009!

1. My dog did 2 perfectly formed 💩 on the morning walk, amd did not kick leaves over them.
2. I bought a spice rack and now my spices are all meatly arranged and accessible.

I just finished this wonderful book by @kjcharleswriter. It's amazing.
The sense of time and place (Oxford and London mostly, 1895 and 1905) is exquisite. The diverse characters leap off the page. Mystery, murder, love, friendship, betrayal, this one has it all.
