Rather less angry than Chat GPT would have you believe. Also thinner on top.

Tries to keep up with sprogs 1-6 and all their mini sprogs. Hopelessly devoted to the Chair of Balham FC. Takes footie pictures.

Trying to get back into fencing.
Quite so. But the genii's out of the bottle now.

FWIW, I(*) did a Thing on how to recognize and minimise the risks of manipulation by AI. I have it printed as a little notebook insert.

(*) Oh, very well: AI did a Thing…

I'm afraid I find it enchanting: the promise of science fiction that we never thought would be delivered.

I produce match day programmes for a local football club, but can't find anyone to write match reports. So I ask chat GPT to do it as a pastiche.

Untrustworthy, obvs, but quite fun.

Wordle huffily claims I was lucky.

(With some justice, admittedly.)

Did he say that? Well, he would, wouldn't he?

From Joy Sikorsky's "How To Draw A Radish", a treasure trove of simple pleasures. And on this one at least, she's not wrong.

Are you talking about the mainstream press since forever?

Inexplicably, the stylishly supercilious Mlle Le Conte @youngvulgarian.marieleconte.com , appears to have overlooked the K Pop Demon Hunters singalongs at Vue.

Great article on an under reported issue. But "…confectionery (sweetened products eaten with the fingers) …"???

In my day, HMC&E were not so fancy as to eat their Victoria Sponge with knife and fork. What has the merge with the IR done to them?

Is that really what the designer had in mind?

Oh, Guardian! Covering all needs, as ever…

Perhaps I over interpreted: my bad.

Even if you don't see it as fundamental, do you recognise the issue?

Having used Moleskins for MANY years, I've moved on to Clairefontaine "My Bag".

Just gorgeous paper, a card cover and a couple of staples. Quirky, very cheap pricing (seems to depend on the colour of the cover!).

Did invest 12 quid in a reusable leather cover, though.

Where did this happen?

As I understand it, the F35 case is worse because the F35 depends on frequent us controlled software updates. But our dependence on the US for our basic war fighting capability goes much deeper. This is very much a wake up call. theaviationist.com/2025/03/10/f...

The US is much more than Trump and his consiglieri. I am reminded of another president who equated himself with his country.

Though to be fair, he was clear-sighted about the wisdom of depending on another country for strategic defence.

We can but hope that America will come to its senses.

At the tactical level, extricating ourselves from our dependence on US technology for "some co-ordination" will be tricky. We have to hope that we can get through a period of dependence without anything worse kicking off.
