If the dark spots are down to hyperpigmentation then there's not really anything topical that can help as that is caused by the melanin within the skin itself. You need to identify the root cause and take it from there.

The skin wash will definitely help with the acne and depending on the cause of the dark spots the exfoliation should help with that too. Plus it doesn't dry your skin out like some of the harsher washes like Hibiclens can do.

I use Australian Bodycare Professional Skin Wash. It contains tea tree oil to help with bacterial outbreaks and is a stronger formulation than their normal body wash so not suitable for everyone. I also use a net sponge to help exfoliate as I shower. It's not the cheapest but it does work
