I came across him at Google's HQ staring at the big spinning Earth display with all the search frequency spikes. Showed him how to use it & he spent 5 minutes giggling like a boy while playing with it. Sounds corny but he had an actual fucking *twinkle* in his eyes. AI can't replicate that.

Hey, there's more media than ever these days so we can all find something we like, and that doesn't take away from what others might like. Not a zero-sum game. I personally find Swift saccharine and grating. But I'm not going to say that it's "bad". You like her stuff, that's great.

They literally built their own B-17 from a downed plane, junk & stolen parts, then used it like a fighter & on the most dangerous missions.

Yes, the F4F Wildcat was *wildly* inferior to the Zero. P38, too. That thing sucked. And whose bright idea was the Corsair & P47? Hot garbage. Everyone knows the Mustang & Spitfire were chumps against the superior & easily-built Bf 109.

Trying to delete messages from a spam folder. Alpine can't delete more than 1,700 messages it seems. So I guess I delete the entire mbox file for that folder instead via the command line, which isn't great UX, even for CLI stuff.
