I’m not certain the majority of owners even want one. The small markets get a lot of money from the current lux tax. The large ones aren’t limited, so maybe it’s the guys in the middle that really want to compete that want one and I wonder how many of those exist.

Imagine those 12 ownership groups when this deal was announced… probably so happy they popped some champagne because it was the Dodgers and they each know they’re collecting an additional maybe $5mil lol.

So I guess “we’re” not running the country now? Also, it seems like NOW would be the easiest time in the world to get them released, given the leverage we hold.

My good friend went to grad school there. I visited a few times and everyone I met was pretty cool for the most part. They do like to get gussied up for events - especially the ladies. Not the hippest place in the world that’s for sure
