At what point do we say enough is enough? How much sacrifice can democracy withstand before its core is eroded?
This Memorial Day, I ask that we all take a moment to reflect and ask ourselves, 'Am I doing enough? What more can I do to honor the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice?'

We were willing to give our minds, bodies, souls—and for some, even their lives. But now, we are being asked to sacrifice the very moral fiber of our nation. Selfless service is something we understand well, but surrendering the soul of our democracy may be a bridge too far.

Words cannot express the gratitude that scores of Texas Veterans owe him for his tireless work, service, and dedication for veterans rights. Please join the Texas Democratic Veterans Caucus with your thoughts and prayers for the Turner family. Rest easy, sir.

This campaign is about ensuring that those who have served our country—both in the military and in civil service—are treated with the fairness and respect they deserve.

When veterans in the federal workforce are dismissed without due process, it degrades the rule of law and weakens the very principles they swore to uphold.
