Oil & gas pollution is everywhere but it's invisible like germs. I make it visible. It is causing the climate crisis. I show their dirty secrets and expose their fraud and lies. They sue me to shut me up but I win. 5th gen Texan, hate football.

One reason there is a climate crisis is because oil and gas pollution is invisible. If you could see it with your bare eyes, spewing out from everywhere, you would stop it.

At @oilfieldwitness.bsky.social we make the invisible visible.

🚨 Today in Zeebrugge, Greenpeace activists from 17 different countries are taking action at the Fluxys gas terminal: a symbol of Europe’s fossil gas addiction.
Russian LNG, US fracked gas: it all flows through here, Making us dependent on Putin and Trump.
This has to stop.

In 2021, after the Global Methane Pledge was announced, @txsharon.bsky.social was interviewed about the agreement and pointed out "A pledge is not a plan."

See what other wisdom she shared back then. She was 100% correct then. Perhaps we should listen to her now?

There will be a lot of talk of dealing with methane emissions from oil and gas at Climate Week. And COP. @txsharon.bsky.social was at COP 26 in 2021 when the Global Methane Pledge was announced. A good time to review her reaction to the announcement back then.

The only reason they can say #LNG is clean, is because the pollution is invisible.

They will say anything hoping we will believe it. But seeing is believing.

Read this book! I just finished it and tears are rolling. Not sad, but tears of elation and liberation.

Meeting E. Jean Carroll was the highlight of my Telluride experience.

The Queen badass of all time. Long may you reign.

…these are same compressor stations through the lens of Sharon Wilson’s FLIR camera which reveals the otherwise invisible methane and VOC plumes pouring from them. Listen to her narration.

Can confirm we all felt nauseous with sore throats after just a few minutes here.

I’m in Texas with @oilfieldwitness.bsky.social and this is what I witnessed today:

These are compressor stations. Like the kind planned for NYS to push fracked gas through pipelines we don’t want or need.

Turn on the sound. Standing near them is like standing next to a jet plane. BUT… 1/2

@txsharon.bsky.social is out in the Permian oil fields of Texas with @ssteingraber1.bsky.social and they just came across this.

The oil industry loves to tout emissions numbers based on theoretical operating conditions using engineering estimates - thus ignoring the reality of the oilfield.

We are all ordinary people hoping to inspire others to get more engagement at a time when people feel defeated. If anyone thinks that Trump has helped O&G or that removing words/rules made a difference, they haven't been paying attention. Things are going our way. ✊

The doc is a conversation starter. As you know, it's impossible to cover everything in 80 minutes. But if people see the doc they will see the invisible pollution. You can't unsee that and it changes minds. I hope people don't listen to you. But peace, man. The audiences LOVED it.

You seem suggestl that things are hard now, just give up.

Oil production, LNG and pipeline permits and drilling permits all rose during Biden's term. There are many reasons to hope and to fight harder than ever despite who is in office.

Oren took time to make sure the film is beautiful along with the ugly. He work hard, so hard, on every detail.

It's been an honor to be in this film. I feel so incredibly lucky to be here with these talented, smart people. It's a long way from the farm.

As @txsharon.bsky.social likes to say the best available control technology for methane emissions is to keep it in the ground.

Batteries help keep it in the ground.

The media is talking a lot about methane intensity because the industry is talking a lot about methane intensity.

However, this distracts from the reality that total methane emissions keep going up.
