Why is Collin Allred picking fights with all the Democrats in Texas? Is somebody paying him to “turn heel” as they say in “rasslin’?”

Saw a little sign of wear as I hung up laundry. This is the last polo my late wife bought me a couple years ago. Had an urge to stash it away like a holy relic but that wasn’t Kathy’s way with favorite things. Someday will be the last day I wear the last shirt she bought me. Not today.

C’mon squirrel! Come down here and say that.

Among today’s remembrances of Robert Redford I want to toss out his elegiac production of A River Runs Through It from the Norman MacLean novel. It was one of the few movies that was as good as the novel and had career-best performances from Brad Pitt and Tom Skerritt.

Another nice day in the low 90s with a decent breeze. Lots of play time in the shade.

I followed this honey bee from blossom to blossom for a good ten minutes and this is the best view she allowed me to get. Trust me, she’s there.
You win this round, bee.

Maggie knows a second hand dog with a used dog toy is worth more than a second hand dog alone. She brings the value!

On this site we tend not to show the empathy we should for the poor MAGA trolls trying to follow the flips and flops of Mad King Donny.

My late younger daughter had Down Syndrome and the portable CD player was her favorite technology for years. MP3 players were all too complex for her somehow and she tended to want to replay her favorite CD over and over anyway. I miss her a lot.

This is my first Father’s Day without my Ginger. Random tears and waves of grief. But I had almost 40 years of loving her I wouldn’t give up to avoid this.

Visiting the farm where I grew up one last time. My brother is selling out soon. The main part of the house dates from the 1840s. Soon it will be another subdivision.

Or - hear me out - he could just stop texting attack details over unsecured phones to people with no “need to know” just to show off.
Nah, it has to be that the big, bad media are out to get him.
Check out his drunkard’s sideburns Sunday too.

Looks like he has been shaving while intoxicated too. Sideburns or no sideburns, can’t decide.

Remember when it was the humanities that were warping our minds and STEM was the only legitimate way?
Good times.

The window sill where Bubba, our Golden Retriever used to guard the house is repainted after sanding, filling (repeating) with high-gloss enamel. Between shiny windowsills and goofy dogs, I liked it better with a goofy dog.
