I thought it was really interesting what parts of the book he chose to pull out and why. Very endearing. Also there was a great bit reposted to IG where Mike McCready stood up in the crowd during Q&A and asked Crowe if he preferred interviewing lead singers or lead guitarists.

I don't actually know anything about Pearl Jam (bad Seattleite), but Vedder came out with both Fast Times and The Uncool and a bunch of printed out notes. You could just tell by his demeanor he was kind of nervous and wanted to do a good job.

A joke, of course, but he was honestly great. For me the appeal of the Criterion Closet and LBX Top 4 videos is you get to see artists let down their guard a bit and be passionate about art and craft by other people and in that regard I got the same vibe watching Vedder and Crowe interact.

Meeting him was already great, and then, when moderator Eddie Vedder got to Fast Times, and Crowe said getting Amy Heckerling to direct was huge re: the film's handling of young women, he said "there was a guy earlier with an Amy shirt on..." and they both saw me in the 2nd row and pointed at me
