Next Tuesday I am having surgery. I was born with clubbed feet and my left foot was never fully corrected. With the continued issues with my feet, my surgeon is working to fix both, starting with the left. I will be nonweight-bearing for 6-8 weeks and will have several months of healing after.

Do any of my friends have any advice or suggestions on how to navigate not recognizing yourself anymore after a huge physical change in your appearance? Also maybe just mid-life crisis advice in general? Really struggling with self-image and confidence right now and I’d like to hear from my friends.
