But great danger and tragic history lurks in the forest: A swamp full of bones, a labyrinthine cavern with an apex predator, and a dead otter-folk village.

🦊Mariette is a mercenary, skilled fencer, and the only help Reginald's dad hired to assist with saving the forest. She exudes confidence and loves doing what she does (including charging Reggie's dad for more money 😂). She keeps her personal life close to her chest.

🐇Reginald is the sole heir to his noble house. He finds a buck crying in an alleyway and seizes the opportunity for adventure, but he had no idea what he was getting into. 😅 Reggie isn't popular with the other nobles and he has a rocky relationship with his dad. The lad is lonely. 🥺

🦌Edwin is a hermit wizard and volunteer protector of the forest. A true recluse, he only tries reaching out for help after getting the snot kicked out of him by the Blight. Alas, his cries for help are met with silence -- except for this eager, buffed hare named 🐇Reginald.
