One of those "climb up the rotating tower" type games maybe. Can't remember the name. Tower Toppler? Nebulous? Something like that?

Unedited? Oh no, is Rod going to get cancelled at Christmas?

I can't guarantee address or R/W are valid until the 1 MHz clock goes high, and I need the data on the bus before it goes low.
The red line is about 8-10 cycles at 24 MHz.
I don't see where a latch would help?
I did try lots of things to make this work, but it wasn't to be. It's sorted now anyway.

I can't reliably detect the start, it's at least 3 cycles "check", "is it a read?" "no, loop back, check again".
Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm pretty sure I can't do with a good safety margin the way I wanted to.
My fallback plan with an external EPROM works, it's just not as neat as I hoped.

The problem is with read operations. I'm a peripheral, so I need to detect the host is in a read cycle, get the address, work out the response (not known in advance), and put it on the databus, all before the end of second half of the clock. I've got less than 8 instructions to do that in.

Looks like a flat version of Wordy.

It's the quality and quantity of the extras and things like these hidden treasure troves the keeps me buying these box sets. Great work.

Yeah.... it's always fun trying to source decent NOS chips these days. I went through quite a few with mixed results.
