Have you ever missed out on getting one of your stories/books produced because an option holder was unwilling to pass the option to another group that was ready to move forward? (Are there buy-back clauses in the contracts?)

Been to several Hawaiian islands, and the Big Island is the one that really got under my skin (in the good way)…especially the eastern, Hilo side.

In SF and F books, a big part of my enjoyment is discovering how the magic and/or technology works in the universe the author has created…and then how that affects the story. The same game mechanic in both genres…so very fungible indeed.
