This is some sort of “red palm” Mark found at the garden store. The red tips and stalks are cool. Eventually it’ll need to be transplanted to a spot where it can grow tall, if all goes well.

It’s dormant for the winter now but the frangipani we cut back and planted its cuttings grew new stalks about 2’ this past year.

We have a bunch of bromeliads. They are planted on the north side of the house so they are mostly in shade.
