I've been historically cynical about the chances of anything changing with the CAP, but seeing it enter the discourse in HRM council (and having people tackle it from different angles like this) does feel like a glimmer of hope.

I found this video kinda sloppy. He's describing real problems but his typology is all wrong... for one thing, solarpunk isn't an ideology, it's just an aesthetic. It's an easy line to draw A->B but the underlying issue of superficially appealing but ineffective policy solutions is so much broader.

in recent history SCOTUS has been happy to pretend the admin has completely opposite motivations to their stated aims when making decisions... it's pretty much what happened with the muslim ban, and the rationalization would likely be similar in this case if it even got that far

it's really bad, especially now with half the adjacent blocks being construction sites. tbh the poor integration with downtown is a big part of why I'm a commuter rail skeptic even if we could get the ROW
