I use a Logitech G600, mostly because I used to have a Razer MMO mouse and didn't want to pay the name brand fee when I eventually replaced it. I play so many games where the numpad at my thumb is incredibly useful, though...

The ones in the snow at least seem to soften the landing somewhat. Limit how much of your clothing it'd ruin. I'd try it!

It's such a wild choice. Obviously generative AI in ANY capacity is going to suck balls, but I can at least see the (rickety, rotten) train of logic for how it might be involved in art or writing pipelines. Which part of the QA process could the Ever-Wrong Guessing Machine actually DO?

The Layton crossover is... BONKERS. Whether that's in a good way or a bad one will probably depend on how much you like Layton's existing brand of 'no it's a logical explanation we promise!' insanity.

I think it makes sense for the 2D entries that DO have a lot of features of a bullet-hell game in reverse, but as soon as things jump to 3D, projectiles are a much less prominent threat compared to body-blocking enemies and AoEs.

As of the Switch officially being replaced, I'm at a solid 0. Any other consoles I've owned since the 360/PS3 era has been a loaner from work.

Yeah, while I don't trust Kraft could pull this off WELL, the concept of apple pie with cheddar is relatively common, so there's a certain logic behind the combo here.

With the passing of midnight, I didn't ever manage to catch up from those missed days for a full 31, but 25/31 is still a passing grade, so I'm gonna be proud that I managed it! Might see if I can grab some of the pieces I'm happiest with and clean them up into more finished pieces in the future.

Day 25: Raft
One of the first survival-crafting games I ever played with a concrete story and relatively linear progression through it, and all the better for it. I hopped onto this one about halfway through its early access days, and it was great to go through again with each major update.

Well now we need to make that the official name for a young Binturong just to mess with people.
"Born free from sin, it takes several years for the rongness to corrupt the Binturight's soul..."

Day 24: Dwarf Fortress
A true classic. I can draw a line directly from my old obsession with the game through to just about all of the games I play most and youtube channels I follow to this day.
Also, if you recognize the basis for the dwarf in the foreground, you're a real one.

Day 23: Valheim
Can't believe I didn't think of this one sooner! One of my favorite survival-crafting games before Abiotic Factor came around, and it's still fantastic (and only getting better) with the recent updates.

Day 22: Terra Nil
A beautiful game I'm surprisingly bad at. For all it's designed to be a very zen puzzle game, it turns out if you aren't good at comparative number-crunching, it can be quite tricky :P

Day 21: Rounds
Alternative Title: 'When your gun is too good'
I can't believe it took me this long to get to this one. An incredible little duel game that almost instantly gets extremely silly. I need to start playing this again...

Day 20: Shadows of Doubt
Based on a true story. Turns out, you don't have to subdue your target if you just sneak into their apartment while they're sleeping!
Not my best work, but I tried to draw this one at a tiny resolution to be 'accurate' and now I know not to bother next time.

Something about the Iconoclast path is really funny because of that. 'I'm an extremely powerful political and military figure with practically no checks on my power and authority. Anyway, how can I help you today?'

A lot of this is exactly why I picked up the game on a recent sale and haven't yet bitten the bullet to actually launch it yet. Definitely SHOULD still dive in at some point, but it'll be good to keep this in mind. Maybe worth seeing if there are any low-impact mods if I start running into the same.

Day 18: Curse of Strahd Hardcore, Season 2 @worldofioyt.bsky.social
It's a game being played by independent developers, it counts!
Nothing like being in a conversation with your party where someone is being far too honest for anyone's wellbeing.

Day 17: Children of the Sun
A game I blitzed through pretty damn fast, but popped into a few times here and there ever since. Wild visual style and a fantastic gameplay loop. Just a shame that near-midnight on a Tuesday isn't the best time to learn to properly paint explosions.
