Happy Hanukkah! We just lit ours too.

Where did this happen?
December 14, 2025 at 4:12 PM
Nice! The music is great, too.

Sounds more Hawaiian than blues to me, but not quite that either. She's got her own thing going on. Cool old lady.

This is brilliant. To the point and accurate.

Actually, I think a closer equivalent would be if you put fake babies in someone's house. They make those, too. You should do an experiment with some people you know.

I don't get hit by the sexbots... for me it's people (or bots) selling psychedelics.

The reason I think this would help is the conundrum is how do ppl get exposed to music in a way that's effectively different from owning it, so that there's an incentive to buy it. Radio used to play that role. Most pathways to exposure now are essentially the same as owning.

One thing I'd like to see, which I think would help, would be if there were multiple music video channels, similar to what MTV was like in the 80s, but for all different tastes, some more mainstream, some more exploratory. People are willing to pay for things they really like, if they can find them.

I don't have one. Maybe if I thought about it enough, I could come up with something, but since I have no power to implement it, it would be a waste of time. I'm better off putting the time and effort into making music (that hardly anyone will ever hear).
December 11, 2025 at 3:24 PM
I don't see your logic here. It wasn't like that before the digital age, when people had to pay. Not at all. The current system sucks, but the old one did too, just in a different way.

She's a virgin AND homeschools her kids? Of course she loves Jesus... her kids ARE Jesus.

Hey!! The first rule of food club is you DON'T TALK ABOUT food club.

Does Gwen Stefani even count as rock? There are definitely others more deserving.
December 4, 2025 at 2:23 AM
Cosey Fanni Tutti (Throbbing Gristle), too.

No Pat Benatar? Joanna Newsom? I'd bump a couple from the list for them. Seems heavily skewed toward the punk side. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were just awful. If it's gotta be punk, how about Lydia Lunch? Wendy O Williams.

that's What We Do in the Shadows, another fun show.
December 3, 2025 at 10:44 PM
My wife and I have been watching it... we like it. It's good, not great, but that's good enough. :D
Here's an older show I like a lot that possibly you may have missed... DreamCorp LLC
Very weird and offbeat, and the guy who plays Colin Robinson in WWDITS plays an even stranger character.

I'm very interested in both quantum physics and non-dual philosophy, but stuff like this makes the needle on my bullshit meter go crazy. :D
That's not a knock on you... I appreciate you posting it!
It reminds me of the Tao of Physics and everything that came in its wake.

Yeah, I hate that formulation. It's almost always wrong. There are a few other similar, common ones.

What an odd, non-sequitur response. Your article characterized rock-throwers as "unarmed" and I used that as an example of the author's bias. You seem to be responding to a comment that only exists inside your head.

Anyone using the (non-)word "choiceful" should get an electric shock, ramping up from mild to moderate with each use.

I see it's Apple TV, so no need to respond. Thanks again!
