I've messed with it since about 2008, it does have a big learning curve, but once you figure out the basics its pretty easy, one of the features I love is baking skin weights to the mesh, which I can add a smooth modifier to, and then bake those weights to my high poly with no fixing,

I like 3ds max personally, but Blender has an easier coding pipeline than max due to Python

Yeah I have all the assets with their rigging, currently still working out the bugs, recently I broke my mesh logic for map models, and so some of them are busted, but currently I'm planning on working on getting animations working

After I get my script supporting everything, I may do that, or drop them into Substance and refine the textures.
I also didn't realize how many dicks are in the game LOL
