White people don’t understand that black people continually put the good of the country over our own. The Democratic Party isn’t the panacea for all black ills. They’re just more receptive to policies that lift up everybody even as they also harm black folks and POCs with some of their policies.

An interesting take for sure. I know that if I watch something that’s antithetical to my core beliefs, I bounce off it hard. It’s a visceral reaction at this point. I don’t sit around watching it and waiting to be convinced into betraying said beliefs.
