UCL spinout Autolus, founded by Dr Martin Pule and with the support of UCL Business, UCL’s commercialisation company, is helping adults with leukaemia benefit from a new CAR-T-cell therapy. The therapy is now available in the US, UK, and EU.

UCL spinout Endomag has used UCL research into breast cancer staging and surgery to develop an injectable nanomagnet technology which eliminates the need for radioactive tracers in breast cancer staging.

Three weeks ago, 20 leading startups from London’s universities pitched at London Demo Day, showcasing innovations across health, digital, finance and the environment.

The four UCL startups were each supported through the Hatchery programme at BaseKX, UCL’s entrepreneurship hub in King’s Cross.
