Professor Paola Giunti (Head of the Ataxia Centre, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology) and her team at UCLH have collaborated with pharmaceutical company Biogen to progress the first ever treatment for a rare genetic disease called Friedreich’s ataxia.

UCL has been rated as a leading university for knowledge exchange for the fifth year in a row in Research England’s Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF).
