I’m not one to complain but pardon me while I whine for a minute. I have gastroparesis and anesthesia decided I needed to have general anesthesia instead of MAC. Which means they do RSI it’s 3 days later my throat is still sore. End of whining. But like what the heck did you do to me.

Pet peeve. Someone walking into your hospital room and not identifying identifying themselves. I ALWAYS said hi, I’m Shannon from respiratory and I’m here for —-. 4 different people have come in Sharon’s room this am and the only one that introduced herself was from housekeeping.

New pulmonologist, Changed my inhalers. Now on Trelegy and Xopenex. I hope the change helps. I’m tired of coughing and wheezing and not being able to swim and breathe.

Last June I was referred to neurology. I laughed and said, it will be at least 6-9 months before I can get a new patient appt anywhere. So I finally saw her today. I was told to return in 3-4 months so of course the earliest appt is October. Why not.

Going Home! They still have no clue what is wrong but Dr said this am “it’s probably viral” I still can’t walk without feeling like I am going to pass out, can’t eat but a few bites for same;but I can go home and feel bad in my bed, with my pups. I’ll take it.

Still in the hospital I did get a room today after spending 2 days in the ED. It’s 316am and I can’t sleep, why because the darn light from the computer screen lights up my room! Ok, I never sleep much anyway when hospitalized because once I go to sleep someone is going to come in to check vitals.

In ED, came in with dry cough, trouble breathing. WBC 17.9 ? source of infection. CXR, normal, RSV, Covid,Flu neg.Waiting on more labs, cards consult r/o endocarditis. .No hospital beds so may schedule TEE later this week. All I know is I can’t walk and breathe. Good thoughts appreciated #MedSky

? Are we seeing new diagnosis of small airway disease post covid in persons who never smoked nor exposed to 2nd hand smoke vocationally, but had Covid infections.

At my pulmonary appointment and the very nice lady at the front desk wished me a “quiet” thanksgiving,since it’s just me and my sister. now I’m going to have to sage my house. IYKYK

I hate meds that have to be taken 4 times a day. I have to set a reminder so I don’t forget. These are my eye drops after my cataract surgery. I also enjoy having to wait 5 minutes between each set of drops. I do enjoy being able to see so it’s worth it,I’m just grumpy this morning.
