I get a powerful jealousy in my chest that hurts.

But I remind myself I am in charge of my own life and I can’t expect others to fix it for me, and I would be cruel by getting mad at others for being better.

I am my own god and I make my own decisions. I am responsible for what I put out.

I feel like a failure when I’m not producing like how other people are.

But I understand my resources such as time, energy, and money are limited.

I am already bordering burnout, or maybe I’m powering through burnout already and will poof in a pathetic puff of smoke.

So many incredible artists my age and younger who are leagues ahead of me.

I know why! They’ve studied and put the work in. Mayhaps they have different priorities and responsibilities than me.

I’ve been stunted by life, mental health, and prioritizing simpler commission types…
