I'm honoured to have been a part of the first doctoral school of the International Association for the Psychology of Language Learning (IAPLL). I enjoyed spending time with the participants and hope that our paths will cross again in the future.

When a reading project becomes a writing project: The Library of Lost Books was written by a group of 14-year-old students and their English teacher Heidrun Lang-Heran at Körösi secondary school here in Graz. I managed to get my copy signed by most of the authors, and I can't wait to start reading!

Inspired by @nayr2.bsky.social a group of Austrian student teachers of English created their own DLC artefacts today. We all loved the results!

As always, there were lots of interesting talks and workshops at IATEFL, but I particularly enjoyed this format because it allowed a thoughtful, thorough exploration of the topic. I would love to see more such sessions at #IATEFL2026 🙂

If you want to see #IATEFL2025 through the eyes of student teachers, our group from the University of Graz did a wonderful job documenting their experiences on Instagram: @leap_interface. For most of them, it was their first IATEFL conference 😊 but I think we'll see them at IATEFL again!
