UGA Sociology Department Head and Marienthal Professor, William Pridemore, is spending June at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security, and Law in Freiburg, Germany, as their Department of Criminology’s inaugural Barbara Huber Scholar where he will give two invited presentations.

Behind the whip cream is Dr. Otto at Shop With A Bulldawg's “Pie the Stars of UGA” fundraiser event. SWAB is a student-run 501(c)(3) organization that raises money to take Athens-Clarke County children holiday shopping with UGA students during their special event day in the Fall.

Dr. Pablo Lapegna will take part in the "Histories of Commodities & the Environment" Symposium at Emory University on February 28th. He is joined by social scienctists and historians for a program devoted to research and questions on environmental history and the history of commodities.
