This is my last redesign of the mane 6, I wasn’t sure what to do with Twilight at first, I got lots of different inspo, in her alicorn design I didn’t want all of her hair to be translucent to signify that she’s new to being a princess and it’ll be more clear as time goes on

This is my 4th redesign, with AJ I wanted to give her very short hair cuz she does a lot of labor and probably doesn’t want her hair to get in the way, I gave AJ lots of scars from years of working and bucking, I also felt like making AJ part cow just fit her in general

This is the 3rd redesign I did, there wasn’t much reasoning behind a lot of the things I drew on Rarity other than simply to make her look even prettier, her messy bun simply feels right for her and feels like what a busy seamstress would have

This is the second redesign I did, I gave Fluttershy small wings cuz she’s canonically a weak flyer, I made her part deer cuz the shy nature of deer fit her well, I also made her visibly trans by giving her antlers as most male deer have antlers
