I genuinely cannot see a future for Britain in which we don’t find ourselves in the grip of a fascist government. I remain optimistic but mostly for PR, nobody wants to hang out with a doomer, but I feel like I’m watching an ideological hurricane slowly but surely make its way towards us

The average right wing Brit has more in common with their immigrant neighbours than they do with the white “native” ruling class. It’s genuinely so sad how easily the working class has been turned on itself

Well I guess it wasn’t just rhetoric this time.
If Trump goes through on his promises and rhetoric and actually starts dragging immigrant citizens from their homes, dismantles democracy and arrests political opponents, it may serve as a wake up call for other western countries experiencing this same mass-disillusionment
