There are a number of ways that Carers are supported in the workplace.

In addition to legislation, some workplaces have established Staff Networks and been open to flexible or hybrid working

Research by the University of Sheffield found that 36% of working carers said they had turned down a job offer or promotion because they were carers in addition to their day job

A standout stat is that there are 2.9 million people in the UK working paid employment whilst also juggling unpaid care

Many people don't recognise themselves as carers. Nearly three quarters of people who are providing, or have provided, unpaid care said they did not identify or call themselves a carer...
