AAAAAAA I almost forgot! It was finally Pie Time ™️ and they were DELICIOUS. The crust was flaky, the pecan was just sweet enough, and the brown sugar gave the pumpkin a deeper flavor. (Not pictured, the entire tub of whipping cream just off camera).

I spent the day baking my yearly Pan de Muerto and I couldn't be happier with how they came out!

I finally found the perfect Jack-o'-lantern Orange for them, and now I've got two beautiful loaves ready to be shared with family.

A white plate with a medium sized loaf of pan de muerto on it. The bread is a round loaf with extra bits of dough on top to signify bones and a skull, decorated with colored sprinkles. The "skull" on top is colored with gold crystal sugar, the bones are done in white sanding sugar, and the rest of the loaf is done in "jack-o'-lantern" colored sanding sugar. It looks a little like a pumpkin if I'm honest. The second, slightly smaller loaf of Pan de Muerto. This one has the bones a little more well defined, and shares the same color scheme as the first. Gold skull, white bones, and orange round loaf. This one is more pumpkin shaped, and is perfectly festive.

Fall Baking season has officially begun! Started out with Pumpkin Cranberry Bread: super moist, lightly sweet, and has TONS of pumpkin flavor.

Also, I'm always surprised how well it holds up over time. I'm still working through the frozen pumpkin I have left over from last year!

Got spoiled by my Dad tonight. He made his version of Pasta e Fagioli, and some fresh bread. Very good times!
