RIP, Pope Francis. My favourite pontiff of all time - liberal and truly modest. He didn’t mince his words in speaking truth to those (Western) leaders who claim the world as theirs. An African Pope next?!

Political appointment or power is ephemeral. Pay attention to the masses, serve them well & be humble. You’re sure to lose it some day. The revolving door moves again. Those who were exuberant some time ago, are now exasperated. Teeth we could count are now being gnashed. Good luck, new appointees.

72% possession yet the closing stages of the match left me like a cat on hot bricks. An improved attack at Man United - thanks to Amorim - but the strikers must step up. Gernacho and Rashford must reduce wasted chances. And Defebce must adapt to the new 3-4-3 system like Mazraoui seems to have done.

#ManUnited head coach, Reuben Amorim, will take charge of his new club for the first time today. It’ll be against Ipswich Town FC. As a diehard Red Devils fan, I’ll be watching with trepidation even though it’s against a struggling team.
