Dumping ash from trash over our water is not a great idea. As islands we need to get waaaay deep into recycling/reusing/circular economy, especially with all the tourist and military trash contributions.

Yesterday was my birthday and I spent it delivering thank you cards to those who helped at my brother’s funeral. Taking time to connect supported me in my grief, in remembering him, and allowing myself time to move forward slowly.

Just checked in a citizen of Aotearoa moving to Canada due to 8k layoff of government workers due to new conservative administration. I had no idea they laid people off. Wished him luck and told him to avoid the US too cuz same bro, same.
