Some airlines will supply boxes. I know you can get a bike box from Qantas if flying with them. I've used those and an Evoc bag to travel between Australia and the US and around the US. Not cheap but kept my carbon road bike safe.

I'm a little far away. However, I'm 52 and just started bouldering. It's loads of fun and there are routes to get you started. Giving it a go is worth it.

Honestly I want to take up parking spots so people can't store their cars on the street. I don't think the council would like that.
