I just always think abt Andros Townsend talking abt playing at palace and how frustrating it is to feel ur not able to influence the game, ur just sitting in. I guess in Arteta-ball at least the better players get more touches and can influence the game more?

On the athletic they made the good point that his methods require huge buy in and self sacrifice from his players. Imo he works at clubs where he is more high profile than the team, think he struggles with bigger players and personalities

So glad to see some discourse abt this, I listened to 3 night watch books through the public library, then moved over to audible. The free libby ones so much better imo

is this not significantly bigger than Ukraine's army even today under conscription? I believe strongly we should be standing behind ukraine, but if we have to have a peace deal, is this not an acceptable chip to give up?

Acc thought we were ok today with a promoted team squad against European calibre opposition, but those delayed subs just kill us, everyone can see we need some impetus. Do not understand it!

Rly loved the pod, particularly the women in Orwell's life of which I was ignorant. Slightly disappointed in the talk of POUM, brave volunteers dedicated to the kind of democratic socialism Orwell was so taken with in Barcelona and of course depicted in Ken Loach's wonderful 'Land and Freedom'.

Never understand the need for everyone to do jarring, cringe-worthy karaoke at these things. Just have a nice, chill couple of pints, do some schmoozing, and save the livelier sessions for an evening not swarming with journos/ people trying to make you look like a knob

Would like to thank you for pointing them out so early in the tournament! Haven’t missed a game since your video on them. As an Englishman, I think/ hope our ‘finishers’ will have a bit too much
