I think a lot of us had the D&D basic set aka the good old red box. The feeling I expected when I got the Expert set was incredible. More levels. Most spells. More monsters. Wilderness rules. Strongholds!

Love the old blue set, which I still have.

Playing some Pool Of Radiance tonight and having some classic D&D thoughts. Should be live on Twitch around 8pm EST or a bit after.

All are welcome!

Back in the mid 80s, slime was all the rage. You could buy cans of it and stain the carpets in your house quite easily.

Everyone was jumping on the slime trend and that included He-Man. You could buy this nifty toy, pour slime over your figures and then try to clean them off.

Back in the 2000, McDonald's had triple cheeseburgers and dino size fries. The dino size fries literally came in a huge paper cup with enough calories to feed family of four for a week... allegedly.

We are back on our streaming nonsense tongiht at 8pm EST with some Arc Raiders fun. Also, we will be playing "In It Or Not" with Dan Akroyd. I name 10 films. You have to figure out if Dan Akroyd was in them or not.

The 80s were the golden age of console gaming. I missed when my local K-Mart (when we had one) had an Atari setup that was like visiting paradise.

Back in the 70s and 80s, I was fuelled by large steel cans of sugar with a splash of juice.

What is this monstrosity?

These bad boys were always a bunch of fun.

Well, it is that time once again! The viewers enjoy when I get scared and try to flee from my chair from the horror games I rarely play. So, let's kick off Chiller Thriller Theatre for October 2025! We got four games of terror lined up for your viewing pleasure.

Tune in for the fear! 8PM EST!

Another RPG artifact I use to own was Chainmail. This was a book of early medieval miniature combat rules crated by Gygax and Perren. It contained an appendix for fantasy units. It was small, but was groundbreaking for what it established.

I wouldn’t tell anyone if I won the lottery, but there would be signs.

Next Tuesday on Twitch, I am going to take some time to talk about one the craziest and cursed things to ever from out of the mind of Gary Gygax. Meant as a money grab, the trail of tears and errata it left it its wake are lost in the sands of time.

I still have my copy.

Had way too much fun trying to play Pool Of Radiance remastered last night on stream. There was some lessons learned and we will be back on this nonsense next week on Twitch.

I stopped into the Starlite dinner on my visit to Summerside, PE and it did not disappointed. Lots of great retro vibes with this place.

These vending machines were everywhere in my youth. Always good for a quick sugar boost or plastic trinket.

The absolute pinnacle prize for me were the little joke books. They were usually mixed in with other prizes so getting them was rare. I managed to pull 2 in my lifetime & it was exciting!

I do miss the Pizza Hutt's of the past. It was just an experience to go to one.

- the red cups made the pop taste better.
- the stained glass lights made it feel a little classy.
- there was always a cocktail cabinet to play after your meal.
- you could read books to get free pizza.

Took some time for myself yesterday and hit up my local pinball and pierogi joint: House Of Targ. Had a good time during free play and of course, I snagged some homemade pierogis while I was there.

I remember getting my hands on this and asking my American grandmother to help me order from it.

My picks were the Marvel Superheroes RPG, Star Frontiers: Alpha Dawn and the Knight Hawks box set.

What a time to be alive.

Bega’s Battle is a peculiar artifact from the days of laserdisc games. The background and cutscenes were animated, but computer graphics were for the heroes and the enemies.

The animation was borrowed from an anime called Harmagedon and apparently it is free to watch on YouTube.
